Asking for info and value on a C. Stiegele Cape Gun, 9.3x72 on the right and 16ga. in the left. Water Buffalo barrel release, beuatiful patina and highly engraved. No visible S/N, checkered pistolgrip and forearm. Please contact me at terrybear_1@msn.com for pix and additional info.

9.3X72 started out as a Black Powder and is a very low power loading 9.3x74 is a modern loading and very near the same class as 375 H&H magnum. If your Cape Gun is an older Back action Hammer action it is not worth a great amount.0 -

If possible post some pics. Like to see how the barrels are joined, a front muzzle view.
The better cape guns have a unique rib joining the barrels that maintains balance btw a rifle/shotgun barrel weight and feel like a fine balanced Sxs. If the rifle barrel is same outside diameter as shotgun the balance is lost. These guns are priced upon how well they are made, not some odd serial number or date. They carry value upon their own material worth.0 -
