Winchester 1886 ?

I have a 1886 s/n 79050 with a 22" octagon barrel, full length magazine, crescent buttplate chambered in 38-56. I can't find a whole lot of information on this and was hoping one of you Winchester gurus would kindly steer me in the right direction.

  Does anyone know who can stamp my receiver ser #, I need to have the original script #'s from winchester. Bought a gun on here with no #.I have the actual #. Thanks Paul

  The 22-inch octagon barrel is either not original, or it is real rare. You really need to contact the Cody Firearms Museum and obtain a factory letter to authentic it.
