flintlock pistols

I'm thinking about starting a search for a pair of really nice old flintlock pistols. I would like to get a matched pair that would display well and appreciate in value over time.

I would appreciate any advise regarding the best sources of information and/or the name(s) of some of the better (reasonable) dealers. Thanks in advance for any help.

  need info of 2 pistols marked thornley on locks & kendal on top of barrel. barrei is 7" long oct. and about 62 caliber email westarms@cableone.net or answer on web sight

  Condition is everything, so as Rufe says, good photos are vital.
