Barrel Makers Mark

Im trying to find out the barrel maker who's makers stamp is what looks like two crossed hammers with a "J" at the top and bottom of the hammers and a "C" on each side. This is stamped on shotgun barrels dating to circa 1905-1910. I believe it to be possibly American or Belgium but cannot find any info/books on barrel makers marks.
