Browning DBL Auto 12ga.
I have a DBL Auto with the alum. receiver. Where can i find the SN.? I have found other markings, but I don't thikk thay are the right numbers. Please help. Thanks!

The SNs, on mine anyway, are on the bottom of the receiver. The number is "split" though; part of it, 8A21 is on one receiver "rail" and the rest of the number, say 600, is on the other.0 -
So then my ser#A13 710 would be an accurate number? My mother bought this for my father's b-day new in 1955 for $155.00. I have the orgnial recipt. This one has the alum. receiver. Could you tell me the approx. worth? 0 -
Yes, that's the serial number. Condition is important and without pictures we can only guess at the value. In 98%, basically unused, original condition it is probably in the $700-$800 range assuming it has a vent rib and open (modified/improved/skeet) choke. The choke symbol should be on the barrel; * = full, ** = modified, **- = improved. If well used, and with a plain barrel and perhaps a non-original recoil pad, probably in the $300-$400 range. Shotgun values are somewhat depressed now and the Double Auto was never a top collector gun. They're fun to shoot though and somewhat unusual and if I had one from my Dad, regardless of condition, I'd want to keep it and use it. 0
