Taurus has a machined shoulder/flange on the inside of the chamber to prevent a fool from doing something like that.
When I had a Judge years ago I tried to chamber a fired 460 S & W case in it. No way would it work for either the 454 Casull or the 460.0 -

By design a .460 cartridge should not fit in that gun.
But if you somehow managed to get one to fit, no. . .you wouldn't want to pull the trigger.
Incidentally, I see little point to this gun. You'll get better accuracy and handling from a conventional .454 revolver, and if you choose to load it with "snakeshot", you'll have ample medicine for snakes.0 -

BTW, what is "snakeshot"? 0 -
"BTW, what is "snakeshot"?"
Howdy,
Snakeshot is simply a type of cartridge that is normaly used in handgun and/or rifle, but configured to shoot "shot", (small BB's, if you will), as the projectiles... same as a shotgun, instead of a single, solid bullet.
Use Google Image to see what they look like.
The word snakeshot comes from being useful, especially in a handgun, to shoot snakes, instead of lugging around a shotgun in rattler country.
