Winchester sling swivels
I am looking at Winchester model 70 super grades post 64, they have inletted swivel bases but except for 1 , they are all without sling swivels.
Did they come from the factory with swivels? they don't seem to be selling seperately
thanks John

John,
Do yourself a favor, and don't just get any post 63' Supergrade. Yes, until 1980-1981, they were still made by Winchester, and after that date, they were made by USRAC, until 2006. In 2008, they started being made by FN-USA. If you get a SUPER GRADE, get a pre 1980 one, or if it is after 1980, get one from the FN-USA group, with the Classic 70 action, with the claw extractor, and controled round feed. As for the swivels, I would imagine, until 1980, one could get them inleted by the custom shop. Rwmber the ones from post 63, to 1980, wll be push feed, with the Remington type extractor.

The pre-'64 supergrades had very wide swivel bases. I am not sure if they continued with that type base in '64. If they did, the swivels will be quite pricey. 0 -
The newer supergrade swivel bases are narrower where the swivels mount, whereas the originals are the full with of the base 0
