Daisy Quick Skill Shooting Kit

In going thru my father's things I found this kit. It says Model 2299. Only the bb's are missing. Any info regarding age, value, history etc would be appreciated. Thanks

  Lucky McDaniel was the brain behind that setup. He practiced, and promoted, the "instinct shooting" method of acquiring & hitting your target. I have his book "Secrets to Shooting". He was the head of the U.S. Army's "Quick Kill" program, which lead to Daisy's version, the "Quick Skill" BB Gun, a lever action rifle, without sights.   I remember articles in the late 1960s about Army program in various gun magazines. I vaguely remember seeing a film or video where he had kids shooting asprin tablets tossed in front of them. I was impressed with the extent his program developed instinctive shooting style for even those who would not make good marksmans.
