Anyone have any experience with the Bullpup conversion kit for the 870 Remington?

I'll stick with my Mossberg Bullpup without the front grip. I wonder if the Remmy'll fit in to the Mossy Bullpup?

Buddy of mine has one. It is lite and handy and functions fine. Not my bag but it is fun to shoot.

The trouble with bullpups is too much noise and concussion too close to one's face and ears.

Significantly increased muzzle blast is one potential issue. There are others.

Don't know about this particular one, but some of these bullpup designs are butt-heavy, giving the gun poor balance and pointability.

Also, by bringing the trigger way up front of the actual action, some of these designs introduce "give" into the trigger system, yielding a poor pull. Sloppy trigger pull doesn't matter quite so much for shotguns, but its a real issue for rifles.

IMO cost is a factor here. This conversion costs $360. A brand new entry level Rem 870 shotgun doesn't cost much more than that, and you can find used ones for less. The same money could also trick out a standard 870 any number of other ways, including lights, slings, sidesaddle, pistol grip, etc, and you'd still have plenty left over.
