3-9X40 bushnell and rings???

I am selling a Bushnell Sportview 3-9X40 scope, and a potential buyer is very interested in buying the scope IF the scope will fit into his 30mm rings. I was not sure, but i am certain someone on here will know for sure. Much appreciated, jmelcock

  Bushnell Sportview, is the next model down from the Banner. it has a 1 inch tube, and will not fit into 30mm rings.

  Brownells sells what they call "Ring Reducers". They are circular pieces of plastic that enable a one inch scope to be used with 30mm rings.

  Don't you have a set of rings for that scope?? If so just sell them with the scope. If not a used Sportview isn't worth much anyway. He could buy a cheap set of rings for $10 or so to go along with the scope. Hardly enough of a reason to kill the sale of a $35 scope. As others have said they make reducer inserts that fit in the 30mm ring to fit the 1 inch scope.

  Yeah I told him the 30mm rings would not fit, but I would throw in a pair of 1" weaver rings and he said that works. Thanks for the help!
