FNAR help
I am in the market for a new .308 and I have decided on te FNAR. Now I know these rifles come in a light and heavy and 16 or 20inch barrel. What I don't understand is why the big difference in price amongst the different auctions here on Gunbroker. Are there different models I am not aware of or is it just the fact that some dealers are getting better prices from their individual distributers. These rifles range anywhere from around 1000 to 1600 here in the auctions. Here locally in my home town they are asking 1650 for the 20 inch heavy barrel version. When I told him I could get the same gun online for for about 1100 he said that that couldn't be the same rifle. Is there something I am missing here? Thanks
Jeff

I don't think that you're missing anything. He is just trying to convince you it is not the same. FUD is an old sales tactic: fear, uncertainty, doubt
CDNN is selling the 20" fluted heavy barrel for $999.99.

Magazines are very expensive (60-75) when you can find 'em.
I'd spend the $1k on a DSA FAL or a FAL built on a Imbel, DCI, or DSA receiver by a good builder (ARS, GunPlumber, etc)0 -
$1650 sounds like a normal retail price, getting one thats like new for 1000 isn't hard though. 0
