Need a better description or picture. Seems like the manufacture would have put some part numbers or other identifiers on the mount.

    1. thank you for your reply.

    2. There are no ID's anywhere on this, all dimensions are the same as the leatherwood, except it's a quarter inch deeper. It makes sense to me that it's a Springfield armory, because everything else on the gun is. I have pix on the listing page

thank you everyone for the advice. I learn a lot on this forum.

I think that the part you want to ID is specific to the scope mount you took off and would be required to make the installation. The rifle I have had the actual stripper part to strip rounds into the magazine and had to be replaced by a part similar to the one you have.

thank you. I did not receive the scope mount when I acquired the socom ... so I'm guessing. It was replaced with the proper scope mount that I use (DPMS) so I'm hoping someone needs this one.

    thx agn.

I'd keep it as I did when I put a scope on my M1A NM. You might need to put it back on if you sell the gun.

It's gotta go, someone else is looking for this exact thing right now and I have too many. I have the 2x originals W/ no scope mount, 2x leatherwoods and a handful of these that either came mounted and were replaced or in a box with other stuff I needed. I'm slowly eliminating what I do not love.

thanks, I love the quote on your note.
