E. Rizzini

I picked up an E Rizzini 20 gauge over/under used. It has fixed chokes. One side of the barrel is stamped "E Rizzini Made in Italy". The other side says Sporting Products LLC Palm Beach Florida. It has some nice engraving and a gold trigger. I shot it yesterday and it works great.

Approximately when was this gun manufactured?
What is the approximate value of this gun?
It appears this gun may have been imported by Tristar. Is the quality of it better than the current Tristar over/unders?
Which choke is in which barrel?

  One of the Italian Proof Marks will be a coded date, either in the Roman Numeral or Capital Letter format. The chokes will be denoted by the number of "stars" on the barrels.

  Note how good the photos are; you can actually read the markings & see the quality of the engraving & checkering. We might be able to estimate the value better if you can post similar photos.
  
  Federal law, since 1968, has required imported firearms be marked with the importer's name, city, & state; your shotgun was imported by Sporting Products LLC. If it had been imported by Tristar, it would have been marked "Tristar".
  
  Little is known about Rizzini in the US. Few folks have heard the name, making them difficult to determine value, or to sell.

  Rizzini = Typically, well made, if not well known, Italian shotgun. If you can get it for little money you will be ahead both in what you shoot and what you paid/may get for it (if you re-sell it).
  
  FWIW, I had a chance to buy a Perazzi back in the late '80's for $350. How stupid is that, that I let the chance go?
  
  Added: 'Tristar' is a name I've usually seen associated with Turkish shotguns. Many of them are good as they meet the specs of some "big name" retailer/resaler, i.e. Huglu builds all the shotguns for CZ. I've seen them by the name "American Arms" and others. They build a pretty nice shotgun as far as I've seen, but never seem to hold the retail value of a "known" manufacturer in Italy.
