WTK: 1950-60's Rem 22 bolt with stock feed
I have a friend who is looking for what he remembered as a Remington, bolt action 22, that fed from the butt stock. From the 1950-60 time period? Any help you have on a model number would be appreciated.

mossberg?? the only remington that I can think of that was stock feed was the 66-77 series they were autos or lever 0 -
I don't think it could have been a Mossberg, either. The butt-feed Mossbergs were/are auto-loaders. Off-hand, I can't think of any bolt .22's that fed that way. 0 -
Browning had a pretty good kind of a side butt feeder. 0 -

Yes, the Browning was a semi-auto.
My Uncle had an old Remington or Winchester semi-auto that loaded through the stock and used 22 longs only but I can't remember the model #. I don't recall a Remington bolt action that had a butt stock mag.0 -
Maybe a Winchester model 63.

The Remington Nylon Model 12 of that era was a bolt-action with a tube magazine. 0 -
