    You're welcome Dokey. I've seen that sight before, but just can't wake up that brain cell. .22 rifle and Savage/Stevens sticks in my mind, but until the coffee starts working, you're on your own.[:)]

    It is the factory-equipment rear sight for the Remington Model 14 pump-action centerfire deer rifle.

    I believe the Savage/Stevens sites were made by " Dorkendorf " but all of those I've seen where so marked.

    Richarda nailed it, it,s a Rem #117-1/2 and is listed on pg 145 in Strobels book. Thanks

    I found it, but richarda already nailed it.
    The Dockendorf sights that sugarae mentioned is what stuck in my head. The 117 1/2 was probably one of his designs. He used the wheel type elevator, and another for windage. The guy was ahead of his time in design. I have a couple of his front globe sights with gold crosshairs and a sliding hood. With the slide open, the crosshairs light up, kind of an old school lit reticle.
