I agree with Neal on the larger one. Need quality close-ups of the smaller. Could be any one of a number, of smaller German or Spanish made 25's? 0 -

Spanish would make sense, as that's where he was captured.

The right one is a PP, you can see the Walther Banner on the grip.
The smaller has the shape of an Astra but with that finger extention I'm not sure. Most likely it's not a weapon importable to the US due to the GCA68 hence hard to ID.0 -

One on left looks like a Beretta 22s/25 Minx/Jetfire, or clone, and the one on the right has too sharp of a transistion line to be a PP, and leads me to Makarov. 0
