Good afternoon, I recently traded a gun for an Iver Johnson Hammerless Top Break in .32 Cal. With the serial number U 11255. I would appreciate a date of manufacture if anyone cares to guess. I also picked up a US Revolver with SN 22040. The hammerless has a trigger return spring issue that I need to fix if anyone knows how to remove it. Thank you, Jer

  I.J. .32 hammerless top break sn U11255 was made in 1907 for black powder ammo.
  
  You must remove the trigger guard to access tthe trigger spring, and they can be a pain to reassemble.
  
  I. J. made several calibers of solid frame and top break U. S. Revolver models, and each included sn 22040.

  Thank you very kindly. I look forward to shooting it at the range this week. I load my own SW .32 for my Lemon Squeezer which is older than this one by 8 years. I can't believe how accurate these are. Jer
