Webley Mark III Top Break Pistol

I am looking for more information reagrding this pistol.
it is 38 cal. appears to be in good condition with some scuff marks and a bit of rust. Although the blueing still holds a nice gloss finish.
On the top of the barrel it's printed: ARMY & NAVY C.S.L. (What does the C.S.L. stand for?)
The model number is: 10203. Would you happen to know when this was manufactured?

More then likely #10203 is the serial number not the model number. My guess is that it would date to the early 1900's, perhaps even the 1890's?
" Army & Navy C.S.L", was the organization that provided colonial era British military officers with various supplies, including personal firearms.
EDIT #1, I tried to post full size photos of the thumbnail pics of the Webley, you have added to your original post. Unfortunately both our out of focus. Because of this their is no way we could help you regarding identification and value.
EDIT #2, The only recent experience I've had, re the valuation of 38 caliber Webley's. Have been with the post war Mark IV, Singapore Police versions.
One that I actually had a hands on, was comparable to yours condition wise. The shop was asking, and got $290 including tax. Another private party had one for sale for $350, don't know if it sold though?
Being yours is a earlier Mark III, with commercial markings. I'm not sure if this would affect the valuation as compared to the Singapore Police Mark IV's?0 -
The Army & Navy Cooperative Stores, Limited was founded in London 1870s by a group of military officers, and became Webley's largest customer.
The Webley Mark III .38 was introduced in 1896, and as rufe-snow suggests 10203 is the serial number.0 -

yes you are correct. I ment to say serial number is, although my fingers typed model number. I will post some pics as soon as registration is approved from a hunt101.

You might contact Joel Black for further guidance regarding current fair market value, as he has written the reference book for Webley collectors .
The holster appears to be original and would increase collectors value.
As the current Nobama gun & ammo panic has caused the price of firearms to skyrocket. My previous pricing experience with the Webley Mark IV's, might not be indicative of the current value of yours?0
