I think your best bet is to do an advanced search on completed auctions to see what they have actually sold for in your firearms condition.

added Not sure what's up. Only 2 listing as 250-3000, a carbine sold for $1000 a few weeks ago, that didn't sell the week before for $800. Only like 324 listed under pre 64; I would thought there would have been 1000's.

No offense! But "unmessed with". Doesn't tell us anything. Need quality close-up photos, for a accurate assessment of value. Link below advise's on posting photos to the forum.

Thanks for that. By unmessed with I meant it is not drilled and tapped for a scope. The original butt plate and sling and such. It is I guess about a 70-80 % gun. First year of production for the 250-3000. I'll try to get some photos after the mayhem of the next couple days.

Based on originality, date of manufacture, rarity of caliber, and condition estimate, I'm guessing $2,500 - $3,500. As mentioned by a previous poster, good pictures should help a bunch in evaluation.
You will not find many listings for a 250 Savage on the various websites. Most of them I see for sale are sold through the major auction houses.

My picture taking is not good, but these should give you an idea. I have the rifle set up with a Stith mount and Weaver 330 scope. I wish it had clip stops and turrets. All original sight and screws are there. There is also a custom no drill mount to accept a lager scope.

Based on pictures, I think my original estimate is on the mark.

I am in total agreement with seewin. All things considered, originality, year of mfg, early style safety, condition, period correct STITH mount, and original sights, and period correct glass...at least $3k, and closer to possibly $4-5k. That is a SWEETHEART!

Thanks for the opinions. Am I better off selling as a package or separating the rifle and optics.

    I would separate them.
