I have a Rockola M1 Carbine with the barrel stamped.

  I was wondering if anyone knew a left handed saftey lever is avalible for the M1 Carbine or if its possible for the existing lever to be fliped around so it can be better opperated by a left-handed shooter.

  The 'banana' clips used with the M2 Carbines had a bolt hold open feature (the magazine follower was machined to catch the bolt). However, it didn't 'lock' the bolt back. The bolt would return to battery if the magazine was removed and the bolt wasn't manually locked with the locking pin.
  
  The 15 round follower is on the left and doesn't hold the bolt open.
  The 30 round follower on the right w/ the flat on the rear of the follower will hold the bolt open.
