FNM 7.62X39 brass case ammo. Any experience?
I bought a bunch of 308 from an estate but realized one of the sealed battle packs of 7.62X51 NATO was in fact 7.62X39
I did not even know FNM (Portugal) made 7.62X39
Can anyone tell me about this ammo?

Good ammo, non-corrosive, berdan primed, brass case, 122grn FMJ. 0 -
So, not boxer? That reduces its value a bunch

True that Berdan priming is less desirable than Boxer, but a sealed battle pack is worth somewhat more than the same amount of the same ammo in cardboard boxes.
That sealed battle pack thing, might be just a marketing ploy. I bought one of those last year, at a local store. It was 9 mm. Since it was in the brown plastic pack. I figured, it would be the 124 grain Nato standard loads. NOT SO! It was 115 grain Devel from South Africa. Just standard velocity stuff. Like Winchester White Box. Wasn't a happy camper.[xx(]
I've shot FNM before, mostly 8 X 57. It's good stuff. Don't think it would be a scam, like the 9 mm Devel.0 -
I?ve used four different hard to get cartridges from them...all have shot well and reloaded well...likely a good purchase 0
