will a rem 760 .308 mag work for .300 savage cart in this rifle

  You could try searching on the auction side too.
  
  cut and pasted "patrick, the 308-243 clip will work fine. Some of the new ones with the plastic bottoms need a little help to snap in place but they will work when adjusted if needed. I always try to stay with the older all metal clips for mine which is a early 35 rem . (back east a little mennonite kid sprayed the mountain near me with about 8 rounds. I went over to him and his deer and noticed the big clip . Made me grin!)"

  I allways tried to find the original metal mags, the newer plastic bottom ones seemed to stick and you had to forcefully pull them out, the metal ones usually dropped out on there own.
