Balvar 8 A
I obtained one, that does not seem to have a ajustable eye-piece.. did they make one like that or am I missing something?? ( the only way I can see thru it clearly with these old eyes is wearing my prescription glasses.. )

According to Stroebel's scope book. The Balvar 8, didn't have a adjustable objective. 0 -
There is no adjustment on the objective lens (front), but there is, at least on both of mine, an adjustment for the ocular lens (rear). A locking ring secures the rear eyepiece from rotating; loosen the serrated locking ring, and turn the eyepiece in or out as necessary. 0 -
Problem solved.. I ran into a guy that knew what he was doing.. had the adjustment issue fixed in about 10 seconds.. ( thanks Ted) It now works fine, not the clearest scope I've ever seen, but very 'usable' Bob 0 -
Trust me, when your eyes are as old as that trusty scope, they won't be their clearest either. 0 -
Do you have the B&L Kaharsky mounts for it? 0
