Buyer with AK mag Problem

Guy bought 2 Master Molder AK mags from me. He is claiming that they don't fit his Sig 556r. I told them that he may need to sand them down to fit. I even showed him in photos that the other ones I have fit just fine for me. What should I do? Take them back after he messed with them- or tell him too bad.

    How was your auction worded, did you offer a return?
    I dont like to sound mean but if you offered a return then you need to honor it,

    AK mags often require a little fitting with file or sandpaper. You have no obligation to take them back.

    Some people need to keep away from tools and dismantling guns but they don't know it.
    Don't pay for his misjudgements.
    I unloaded my Norinco mags today for 100% profit. I expect the dealer will do the same.

    i have 3-4 chrome follower poly tec 30 round ak-47 mags that will not work in a arsenal 101 ak, but will work in a east german kit built ak,go figure.

    Now this guy posts negative feedback. Not my fault the guy could not figure it out. I wish somebody else would have bought them- or I should have just kept them for myself- I had no problems with them.

    Noobs flooding the market place. I'd say tell him he can fit them and keep em if you know for sure they can be fitted. If not I'd take them back. His call. At the priced he paid he needs to be happy.

    If they were not messed with you can re list them. Jumping the gun on feed back may complicate things.

    A Sig 556 takes AR 15 mags, not AK.

    The Sig 556R (R stands for Russian) is designed to take AK mags. (This series is a modular system, with variations for different calibers & configurations.)

    More experienced shooters know that aftermarket mags may or may not fit a given rifle, & may or may not require fitting. The buyer probably should have bought his mags from Sig (& paid the much higher price). But, folks usually have to learn things the hard way.

    AS IS isn't always legal. Almost every state has a warranty of merchantability; i.e., an item sold must be suited for the purpose for which it is intended, or the buyer is entitled to a full refund, regardless of disclaimers from the seller.

    I think the right thing for jhimco to do is to have the buyer return the mags & refund the price plus shipping both ways. The fact that you had to fit your mags shows that you should have known to post that information in your description.
