Barrel threads
Quick question - I have a Mini 14 and would like to attach a muzzle brake. I really don't want to fiddle with slip ons or pins, the gun's very dependable but not much of a shooter accuracy wise so I don't want to spend alot of money on it. Can the barrel be threaded without removing the barrel? I'd plan on 1/2 X 28tpi, same as an AR 15.

Just got in a few 6ppc Barrels rifle barrels and can't figure out the what they may go to. Heavy ! for Bench rest shooting.
18 TPI, Threaded portion is 1" Long and diameter is 1.05

Check Dee Hass's book on barrel threads. It may show something.
I know in the past I have barreled rifles with an 18 tpi, but that has been a long time ago.0 -

Check the NRA gunsmithing book has pages of barrel threads 0 -
Only 18 tpi, I know of is the Armalite AR30 barrel; threads 1.125 X 18 UNEF.[?] 0 -
Looks like it's for a BAT Machine company action. Used for single shot bench rest. Measures 1.062 x 18 tpi. 0 -
