S&W model 36
I recently bought a model 36 S&W, fully gold plated, fully engraved, with pearl grips. The gun appears to be nearly perfect. How can I learn of this gun's value? I could email numbers and photos to anyone who could help.

Was it also made with a 4" barrel? 0 -
I think its a date code. So is it a Lady Smith? circa 1990's.
I think they made the first LS on blued 36.

it does not have ladysmith on it that i can find / small grip
and 1 7/8 barrel.0 -
In the early 80's. Smith went to a alphanumeric serialization. Making figuring out actual DOM, much more dicey? My WAG, is your revolver was manufactured in late 1993. 0 -

Agree it's 1993 - the "Dreaded Triple-Alpha Serial Number Ranges" listed in SCSW shows combinations before and after, but skip over, the BPM arrangement. Typically. [}:)]0 -
The first (modern) Ladysmiths were model 60, & I believe were the most manufactured. About 10 other LS models were made, blue & stainless, revolvers & semi-autos; number made was small, especially with unusual barrel lengths.
Obviously, ob's gun is not a LS, but there were some M36LS's made.

It might have been bought in 85? But if it doesn't have any letters, in the S.N.? It was made in the 50's.0
