Thompson Contender barrel bolt>?

I got a new old stock Contender barrel, 221 Fireball. I mean it is like 10 years old but new. The left bolt will not stay in place.It has a two piece bolt. Why and how to fix it? Any help appreciated.

The only free online schematic I found was cut off right at the two piece bolt. Google found another but I don't think it was free site to use and i'm not willing to sign up or pay. I had one for a while a 10" 44 Mag Hot Shot with a folding rear sight and an internal screw in choke. It was interesting. Helped me to learn to shoot things out of the air with a pistol. Later with enough practice I could do it with bullets.

I would call them and see what they can do to help you.

Thanks, will do, I put a micro under it and now looks like a very small piece of it is broken. We will see.

Contacted Thompson. Sending a prepaid shipping to send it and they will repair and check out the barrel for free, if it's there part that is at fault. Actually got a response in one day.

You can get new locking bolts from Mike Bellm. Inexpensive. Should fit and allow for safe function without any stoning but if not a bit is all that's needed.
