gold plated revolver cylinder
at a gun show this weekend i picked up a gold plated, six shot, 22 magnum cylinder. i did a magnet test and it is made of steel but gold (color) plated. slightly too long for a ruger single six but very similar in size and design. only marking is .22 MAG. any idea what it might fit. i know thats not much to go on but was thinking the gold plating might give someone an idea.

one of the off brands, like heritage, had a gold colored revolver, sold locally at Kmart type stores back 80-90's. 0 -
Take a look at the out of production "FIE". Just sold one with a "gold finish" two cylinders. 0 -
Manufacturers samples of cylinders like this for distributors or high volume sellers are not unheard of - to sit on a desk as a paperweight or pen holding receptacle
Just a tenuous supposition or possibility for your consideration

I agree it's an off brand a real outfit would mark more than just the cartridge. Perhaps a Colt clone.
FIE 6 shot Buffalo Scout "The Yellow Rose" 22LR/22MAG, 24kt Gold-Plated0 -
there was a colt 22cal ssa that was gold plated 0 -
Yes, a Colt California Gold Rush Frontier Scout. I've got one of those but I think it only came with a .22 LR cylinder. 0 -
i tried it in a friends heritage and it fit but did not quite rotate far enough to lock up, but close. maybe it fits and older model, will keep looking. thanks everyone. 0 -
