Marlin model 97 scope base

Anyone tell me what scope bases fit a Marlin model 97 .22 lr? I have looked at some reference charts but can't find this model. Any info is always appreciated.

  According to the Blue Book, if your rifle is a original Model 1897? It would date to the 19th Century, (1897-1922). Unlikely to have been factory drilled for scope. If it was later D & T'd, by a local gunsmith. No telling what scope bases he used?

  You might consider getting, what are called, "blank", (no holes). Bases from Brownells. And having a competent gunsmith. Drill them, to match the D & T'd holes, in the Model 1897.

  Some popular scopes during the 1897's era of manufacture were the Malcolm, Stevens, and Winchester A-5. Each of these manufacturers made their own scope bases. The 1897 was drilled and tapped for a tang sight and for a Hepburn receiver sight. The later Fecker and Lyman scope bases fit the Winchester A-5 scope mounts.
