S&W Model 10-5 c prefix
I've committed to purchasing a S&W Model 10-5 c-prefix snub nose revolver w/ a nickle finish. The guy tells me it was made in 66 or 67, wondering if this is accurate? Condition is excellent, but no box or papers. The price is already agreed upon but what is a gun like this really worth?

Need partial serial number for DOM. If it is under, C6227XX, it would date to 1962.
The Model 10, is the most common of the S & W revolvers. Check the completed auctions, for FMV.
Nickle plated revolvers can be tricky. I've run across some, that look really righteous. But there not! Nickel plated hammer and trigger, would be a red flag.0 -

Mine looks like this0 -
It should have an "N" stamped in 3 places: bottom of the barrel, back of the cylinder, grip frame under the grips.

EDIT: The seller's date estimate is accurate. An estimate of value requires photos, or, at least, a detailed description.0 -
