I recently sold a very early Alaskan ser #140. At first I believed it had no serial number. Later when I checked it with a good magnifying glass I found the serial number, It was very very faint, and was missed with the unaided eye. I believe it was made in the very first run in 1937. It had a heavy post and crosshair
