ELG stamped id's it as Belgium made. Belgium exported many shotguns to the US in the 1800's, most were utility grade.

In most cases such shotguns have little collector value and are sold as decorator pieces. It is generally not a good idea to shoot them. Values tend to be around $100-$150 as wall hangers.

We would need the photos to tell you much more.

The only exception to the above. Is the fakers, who hack the barrels off. Then try to pass them off as original Confederate Cavalry guns. As used, by Jeb Stuart's guys.

Years ago, when I was a member of the antique guns forum. A new member, posted about one of these shotguns. Wanted us to help authentic it, as a genuine Confederate Cavalry sawed off shotgun. The old timers on the forum were less than kind, to the newbie. Pointed out that these weren't issued, but something that the troopers. Brought from home or stole, and cut the barrels off. To make them more handy on horseback.

Don't shoot it. Don't clean it unless absolutely required.

$100 -$150 is a fair guess sight unseen but sometimes wallhangers will surprise you at auction.

One sold recently on a local site for $60.
