Difference between Winchester 1200 and 1300
Does anyone know if the barrels are interchangeable between a Winchester 1200 and 1300 12 ga. shotgun?

General opinion is yes, but I have personally tried a couple that the barrel would slide into the receiver just fine but when you tried to close the action it would not lock up. Hit or miss I guess, maybe someone has the answer to this. 0 -
I bought a 1300 receiver that is supposed to be 12 ga but a 12 ga 1200 barrel wont fit into it. I dont know if maybe the 1300 receiver was mismarked as a 12 ga and maybe a 20 ga or if 1200 and 1300 receivers are different. 0 -
I seem to remember something about 3" chambered barrels not working in 2.75" chambered receivers?
Years back I bought a basket case 20ga Rem 870. Put it together and it wouldn't lock up. Called Rem for a serial number check, and it came back as a 12ga 3". Swapped the 20 barrel for a 12, problem solved.0
