I have a 1911 style barrel (lucky me).
It's length is 4 1/8 inches. Yes, that's right. It's marked HS for High Standard, I think, and it's two piece. Asking for input 'cuz I don't know any more.

Sounds like it's cut down for a commander clone. Pic's would help. 0 -
high standard built under contract 1911 barrels during WWII and later very ease to shorten one to go in a 1911 with a shorter SLIDE and FRAME 0 -
There were many items built under Military Contract for Government model 1911/A1 pistols during WW II It would be easy easy to cut down length to fit a pistol with shorter slide frame 0 -
Is it a "bull barrel"? One of my Detonics Scoremaster has a "sleeve" to flair out the mid point of the barrel to the muzzle. Didn't know they did such things to "regular" barrel 1911s. 0
