COLTS INTO CALIF

Can a Colt 1991 45 government model be shipped for transfer to Calif??? Thanks for your help.

    As of now there are no Colt handguns approved for retail sale in CA. The Combat Commander went off list last year and It was the last. Manufacturers have to submit pistols for testing and listing, so it appears that Colt was not interested in paying to keep their pistols on the list.

    The 1991 is till perfectly legal to ship to a CA dealer for sale to LEOs or other exempted buyers, but it cannot be transferred to a private individual.
