    To test for stainless I use a conical stone in a dremel to expose a bare spot in a hidden location, then apply a drop of cold blue to see if it reacts..

    It would be best if you could post quality close-up photos of your pistol. For identification purposes.

    If it's a knock-off, made by somebody else other than FN in Belgium. Value would be substantially less, than the real McCoy.

    Femaru in Hungary, did make H-P clones with phony FN markings, back in the 80's. Weren't stainless, and Femaru has been out of business since the early 00's. Unlikely to be them, who made your pistol.
