Stainless HiPower
To the persons asking about drilling the receiver. It is done for a sample. It is done on the inside with the correct bit to get a sample to heat. Carbon steel will melt faster than stainless. As it turns out this is 400 stainless as are most fire arms. However the serial numbers does not match up with any browning . They are 1037.

To test for stainless I use a conical stone in a dremel to expose a bare spot in a hidden location, then apply a drop of cold blue to see if it reacts..0 -
Good idea.Or water to see if it rusts. 0 -
It would be best if you could post quality close-up photos of your pistol. For identification purposes.
If it's a knock-off, made by somebody else other than FN in Belgium. Value would be substantially less, than the real McCoy.
Femaru in Hungary, did make H-P clones with phony FN markings, back in the 80's. Weren't stainless, and Femaru has been out of business since the early 00's. Unlikely to be them, who made your pistol.0
