popular in German match shooting between WW I and WW II when germany
was banded from making military type small arms most were 22 rimfire some very high quality others not so much and some were 8.15X47R m most built by gunsmiths rather then factory built value all over the place but limited in people that want to buy them and if missing any part sight ETC value very low as parts would have to be custom made.0 -
Nicely appointed, but it has a Warnant-Flobert action, which is a very low end item. An economy target rifle, about half the price of a Martini.
He THINKS it is a .22. Might be. Might be a 6mm Flobert or 4mm Salon, too.0 -
Johann Gasser was a well known Austrian arms manufacturer. Mostly for military handguns, made for the Austro-Hungarian Army. During the last quarter, of the 19th Century.
He had hundreds of men working for him, in at least 2 factories. Your target rifle, is unusual because of this. Not likely you would expect to see Gasser's name, on something like this.0 -
So whats this worth guys? 0 -

Tough to call? Most likely, to be in Austria, it's country of origin. Rather then on this side of the pond. As I mentioned previously, Gasser wasn't known for this type of firearm. Might make it valuable, to an Austrian collector?
GunBroker Auctions, probably best place to sell it. Unless you have personal contacts, in the old country.
Maximum value, would be based on two or more collectors wanting it. This all depends on its rarity and desirability, over there in Europe.0 -
Greetings,MFI! Good quality gun. I would guess it to be worth between 500 to 750 dollars. 0
