M-1 Carbine 'spring tube' ?

some years ago I had a Winchester m-1 carbine with the 'spring tube', I thought only Winchester made them this way. Yesterday I worked on a Quality Hdw, m-1 with the 'spring tube'/ Did any other makes use this feature?

  Yes, Inland & Rockola made them. But, with the transfer of receivers from subcontractors, it's theoretically possible to find a spring tube in any of the other early carbines.

  Inland made spring tube receivers from receivers damaged while drilling into the deep hole. Instead of scrapping those, they were remilled into spring tube receivers.
  
  Quality Hardware kept the spring tube design throughout production. A subcontractor Union Switch & Signal made non-spring tube receivers for Quality, but they are marked Un-Quality.
