Stevens 520
I have a Stevens model 520 with a 32 inch barrel and was wondering if this is a somewhat rare barrel length for this model. I have seen a lot of the 520's on our host Gun Broker but all were 30 inch or shorter. Any info is always appreciated.

I have a Stevens 520 12 Ga. shotgun with a shortened barrel. There is a cross hatch (tick tack toe) mark on the barrel and receiver. I would like to know what this mark means and any other information available on the model 520.

The 520 was a John Browning designed shotgun, dating to the early 1900's. It was made in great quantity. By both Stevens and later Savage, as late as the 1940's.
It was sold in different variations, and various store brand/hardware names, over 40+ years. Even as a G.I. trench gun. Unless you can find a collector, who specializes in 520's. Not likely to be very valuable, IMHO.0 -
This one according to what I have researched was made between 1909 and 1914 due to the slide release button on the left side of the receiver. I know there is not much value but my question was is the 32 inch barrel somewhat rare as all I can find is 30 inch barrels or shorter. 0 -
Sure. Only 32 inch I have ever seen. 0
