CHINESE COPY ITHACA M37
I'm looking at a Chinese copy of Ithaca M37. Anyone have one? What can you tell me about Your's? One I'm interested in purchasing used is called Shan Dong YL12-1J, 12 gauge...

Some time back I looked at a new china 37. Crude was the first thought that came to mind. No thank you. 0 -
I looked over one a few years ago and it was rough. Parts "seem" brittle. But if that's what you want, I surely would think they show up here time to time. Keep looking.
Yea, I know, worthless post for what you wanted but.0 -
I got a well used one for very little a few years ago. It needed a good cleaning but after that it worked fine. I wish I still had it. 0 -
I get that some men feel a little inadequate, but do you really want a shotgun called "dong"? [}:)]
OK seriously, Mossberg (Mexican) Maverick costs $200, its perfectly fine, its compatible with other Mossberg parts, and has a good warranty. If you want a cheapie, I think that will get you covered.0 -
I sold a few of those while I was "in the business". Unsatisfactory is a nice way to describe those. Ended up sending two of 5 back for replacement. Tinkered with one myself to make it functional. The other two probably spent the last 20 years behind a farmer's back door-unfired. 0 -
I was looking at one and tempted to buy it but the store clerk told me not to bother. 0 -

It has been my experience that other than Soviet designed arms (AK, SKS, Tokarev pistol) the Chinese do not make any firearms worth buying. 0
