Model 70 Winchester Stainelss ?
I just obtained a Winchester Model 70 SS, in 300 Win. Mag. It has a muzzle brake or flash suppressor on the end, I do not know which, it looks like it is a stock item and came with the gun (it is used). The muzzle brake has numbers around it in graduations near where it is screwed in the barrel. I know this is probably a dumb question but what do them mean, and what does it do? Do the numbers effect the bullet somehow? Thanks! Fitz

Sounds like a Browning Boss system. The brake is adjusted to dampen oscillations for the exact load. 0 -
You can get info on how to tune it on Brownings website.
Can also get a conventional recoil device so you won't blow
Your ears off when hunting.
They do work as claimed.0
