Need info on AK-47 I purchased
Can anyone tell me anything about an AK-47 I purchased. I originally started looking online because I wanted to buy an underfolding stock for it. I paid $200 for the gun years ago. Its a PolyTech AKS-762 7.62x39mm SEMI-AUTO and SP is electro stamped next to it serial is 386 in a circle and followed by CW-XXXXX, underside says KFS Atlanta, GA Made in China

The "SP" marked guns were the ones caught in transit/customs when the ban went into effect. They had to be neutered by removing flashhiders and attaching a thumbhole stock, so that they could be sold as sporters.
If yours has all the preban evil features, it has been reworked/rebuilt prior to your purchasing it.
EDIT #1, The "SP" marked Chinese AK's date to the late 80's just after the ban went into effect. They would have been on the market and sold prior to the MAK 90 thumbhole stock AK's were sold in the early 1990's. If you didn't buy it new during the late 80's time frame, very unlikely it's in original condition.0 -
No I bought it with skeleton stock flash suppressor. Do you know what its worth? Or where I can find a underfolder stock to fit it? 0 -
i have one and it came with black furniture,not skeleton. pistol grip.
also, it does not have a bayonet lug[:(!]it has flash hider
i replace the furniture with wood . i have the box and all that it came with it.
it is still a polytech top of the line AK.
i would value mine at 1100 + but that is me talking.don't know what the market is cause i have not seen one for sale in that configuration.
i would think that it is kind of rare cause you just don't see a poly SP very often.who knows how many were customs/Clinton hack jobs[xx(]

Are those stamped reciever's, or milled reciever's? poly Tech made both, and both were imported by KFS. If I am not mistaken, they are Chinese made, and it is most likely hard to find authentic Chinese hardware these days.

Poly Tech AKs in any configuration are good rifles and getting hard to find. These days (unlike 20+ years back) there is no shortage of 922R compliance parts which allow the rifle to be brought back to military specs so these rifles are sought after. 0 -
