Free stuck choke tube

Picked up a BPS and the choke is stuck. What is the best way to get out.Thanks Jeff K.

  Kroil a hair dryer a shot glass and proper FACTORY spanner wrench. + 24 hours . Take the barrel off heat as hot as you can get it put 3/4 inch of Kroil in shot glass Stand up the barrel with muzzle down in in the filled shot glass every 4 hours remove barrel from liquid and heat . after at LEAST 24 hours lock down rear of barrel and unscrew the choke tube with Factory wrench.

  Use 2 people when trying to get it out. Have your buddy hold the barrel so that you can hold and turn the wrench in the end of the barrel w/o it coming out. They can be a real bitch sometimes, good luck.

  I like perryshooter's approach. Plus get some of the metal filled choke tube lube and the problem will not happen again.

  easiest way i have found, is to put a little bit of brake fluid ( yes, brake fluid ) around the choke. then wrap tape around the barrel end and tap around the barrel end with a wooden stick. next, TIGHTEN the choke tube. then just work it back and forth. this has never failed me yet. do all this with the barrel pointing up!

  Well, I have removed many a stuck (or frozen by rust, no lube) choke tube. If you don't want to wait and want it out right now, simply rund a small weld bead very quickly inside the choke tube the full circumference inside the choke tube. It will then unscrew quite easily. I use a tig on vey low heat as to not melt through. You don't need filler material either. Run the bead just short of the threaded area for best results.

  A couple of minutes with the muzzle in a pan of boiling water might do it. Less mess and not as likely to damage the finish.
  If that doesn't work, you can move on to a more aggressive approach.

  I used a ez out .I have a set made by snap on that goes up to like 1 1/2 in diameter.Just tap in in snug and back it out using a cresent wrench.Works great.

  While the EZ-out may have worked for bigdaddy in his specific instance, the principal and mode by which the ez-out works actually makes the choke swell tighter in the threads. If it is already jammed/rusted, this will make it harder to remove. If the problem is damaged choke wrench ears/lugs, this approach is viable.
