I just bought a rifle from a non FFL holder here on gunbroker. My FFL is under the impression that the seller must send it through an FFL to him. Is this true? Or are rifles okay to send from non-FFL to FFL? Please include where to find proof to back up your reply, it's not that I don't trust you, it's that my FFL needs hard evidence.Thanks-

  I have a 12 guage model number 295 it's a bolt action .. mossberg new haven what's its worth thanks alot

  If your absolutely sure it has no markings other then the serial number, it's probably a Spanish made poachers gun. All the other European countries where it was most likely to have been made required proof marks on their firearms. The Spanish didn't require mandatory proof marks until the 1920's.

  One thing you may want to do is check to see if screws are metric or US. I agree it may be Spanish if no proof marks but it also may be made in USA Remington made a HEPBURN with side opening but your picture does not look exactly the same.

  The type is shown in the 1911 Alfa catalog.
  Price was 20 German marks, the cheapest shotgun listed.

  Remove the barrel and forend and check the underside of barrel for proofmarks. Many of this type were made in Belgium.
