New Garage

I just had a 30x40 garage put up.
Concrete floor sloped to the 2, 10 wide by 8 tall doors.
So far, 8 4500 lumen led lights. I think they will be enough but, until I get to working out there, I won't know for sure if they are enough.
I just finished wiring it up today.
100 amp 8 place panel.
I saved two places in panel for a 240 v air compressor, just in case.
Plan on insulating and sheeting the back wall tomorrow so I can move in the shelving I got from work and get my butchering freezer in place on the back wall.
Will have the drive rocked this weekend.
I'll insulate an sheet the rest of the walls when money allows then do the ceiling.
I still have to get the gas line ran also. The trench is dug and I have the line, but, having a hard time finding the fittings for it. Thinking I'll have to go to a plumbing shop for them.
Can't wait to get it done so I can finally hunt and hang a deer in there.

    Chief, any plumbing or hvac supply house, will have the risers, for that gas line. Congrats on the new "Man Cave". I built mine 24'X40'. wish I would have went that extra 6 feet deeper. Enjoy. Share some pictures when you can. Oak

    I have six 4500 lumen led strip lights in my 24x32 garage, two rows. I have two 300 w. Halogens that are mounted to shine down on an angle. These help when working under a car hood and I?m in my own light.

    Just be sure of your security issues, or you may return to an empty garage some day, believe me I've had to deal with that problem[:(!]

    I asked a cousin how big of a shop/shed I needed to build he said you could cover that whole 20 acres and someday that would not be enough

    point taken and understood

    every shed, garage or shop I have built or had built is never big enough

    I think you should have put in 200 amp electric service. These things tend to escalate.
