Anyone use a
Counterfeit bill detector pen? They are a hoot to use when the cashier gives you money back. After all, they mark the large bills you give them. Always a look on the cashiers face when you mark the return bills.

Walmart sells them. Any Staples or Office Depot. They mark yellow. If black shows up..bad bill. Now take a fake bill while getting change and slip the hillary or bill clinton bill in with the others and mark it. It is regular paper and will go black.0 -
I have several CF USD I got in Africa.
I am going to try and pass them off to Ricci[:D]0 -
My wife ran banks before she retired so we have a couple pens but seldom use them. 0 -
A few years ago I sold my Mom's F150 pickup. Didn't want Mom dealing with any rif raf that might come by.
So I wound up selling it to a gang of Mexicans. They called it the "Lobo." The Wolf. Latinos love this truck and always refer to it as The Wolf.
At any rate they came over with a stack of 44 Ben Franklins. I got out my yellow pen to check the bills. These guys were astonished, now, we were speaking in Spanish, but they had never heard of counterfitting. They had no idea that criminal Gringos were making fake money.
At any rate I told the guys, if one of the bills failed I wasn't going to call the cops or try to confiscate the money, but I sure as hell wasn't going to take it. They closely watched while I tested each bill.
No Problema. Each bill was good.0 -
Would it be OK to use a green highlighter - just to confuse them?

All I ever use is plastic and pay at the end of the month via bank transfer. 0 -
Many years ago, while on vacation to Las Vegas, I took the wife to a Target store where I handed the clerk a 100-dollar bill for our souvenirs.
The pimply-faced, very young lady (she looked 14-years old) marked the bill with her pen then held it up to the light and squinted. Turning the bill over she squinted some more. After squinting through all 4 orientations of both sides of the 100 dollar bill she called for the manager.
The line of impatient customers behind me continued to grow and shuffle.
The pimply-faced very young man (he looked 12-years old?) arrived from his secret office and took control of the situation.
The manager marked the bill with his pen then held it up to the light and squinted. Turning the bill over he squinted some more. After squinting through all 4 orientations of both sides of the 100 dollar bill he announced loudly, "Its Good!"
The clerk counted out my change...which included a 50-dollar bill.
I marked the bill with my ink pen then held it up to the light and squinted. Turning the bill over I squinted some more. After squinting through all 4 orientations of both sides of the 100-dollar bill my wife kicked my shin and commanded, "Move! Lets get out of here!"
I turned to apologize to the large group of people behind us for the delay, but when I faced them I was met with laughter and applause... from everyone except the clerk, the manager, and my wife.
It was the highlight of my trip. [:D]0
