I stumbled across the DIY channel on Dish Network, (channel 111) over the Thanksgiving weekend. (?)
Can not stop watching "Building Off the Grid," "Building in Alaska," "Tiny Houses," "Maine Cabin Masters," etc. etc.
Amazing stuff. Building with non-traditional methods and materials, making the most of your space, etc. etc.
Been watching a marathon of Maine Cabin Masters this AM. They are now working on a super steep pitched A-frame. (Like mine.) Im paying particular attention for ideas. [:D]
Anyone else addicted?

No TV, cut the cable over a year ago, maybe two. All the shows mentioned and more are on YouTube and 'FREE', if you have Internet anyway.
Watched a lot of tiny house videos but everything here is mortar and brick. The designs would make a good master bedroom with integral study and refrigerator.0 -

I'm such a softee. I've been brought to tears about 3 times now, when they reveal the new Camp/House to the owners.
New one coming on now, SSG Mills (82nd Airborne.) Both legs and one arm lost to an IED. Rebuilding his domicile. This one will be special.
I'm sure I am going to cry, on the reveal.

The Travis Mills Foundation. Letting other disabled Veterans come up to the house in Maine and enjoy themselves. (All handicap accessible.)
A lot of donated materials. Heartwarming.
