Dang! That is a Good Roast!
Mississippi Chuck Roast-
Get a nice 3-4 lb chuck roast
Season to taste and brown in frying pan
Place in a slow cooker
Sprinkle a packet of Hidden Valley ranch dressing mix on it.(dry)
Sprinkle a packet of McCormick Au Jus mix on it. (dry)
Put 1/2 stick of butter on it.
Put 10-12 (or more) Pepperoncini pickled peppers on top.
DO NOT ADD WATER!!!
Cook on low for about 8 hours
Just had this for dinner, and it is deeeelish!!![:p]

Does sound very good, but the last time I forgot to put a bit of liquid in the wife's crock pot......the clean-up was horrendous![:0] 0 -

We use the plastic liners, but I promise it will not need any liquid added. Comes out very moist and tender, with a good bit of au Jus in the bowl.0 -

Have not heard of that particular recipe. I love cooking in Crock Pots. I love Pepperoncini. Sounds worth trying. Copying it. Thanks.0 -
