Doc i am getting my laundry room painted and a new floor put down and my friend wants a 22 rifle for the work.

His son is part of some club at school that shoots 22lr and uses open sights. I would rather pay him than get rid of a gun but i have a lot of 22lr rifles so its smarter to just let 1 slip away.

If you're not selling off safe Queens (investments), and the guns that you are selling off are firearms that you know you will never use again, you did good!

I did sell some good ones. I was raising cash to kill my mortgage and you can't make serious money selling the junk guns. I sold three beautiful S&Ws. A 4" 29-2 in nearly new condition, a nickel 27-2 also nearly new, and a really nice 25-2. These brought a total of $3,600. I had about $1,500 invested in them.

PSA emailed me big sloppy kisses for all the goodies i got from them this year. 223, 7.62x39, and 308. and between PSA and Midway enough ammo to outfit some south american dictatorships.[:D] plus 5 purchases on GB it was a very good year

If you keep losing 2 per year you will hit zero three years after you die. You are selling them too fast.[:)]

During 2018 I bought 4 guns spending a total of $1,800 and sold 6 guns for $5,000 (realizing about $2,000 profit). The plan was to lose a few.

    Uhhh,.......................................wouldn't that be $3200 profit?

I honestly don't have any idea what I have in 90% of the firearms I own. Pretty stupid I guess. Sold about 15 here and bought about 6 - So I am getting there -

    My rule is:

Everyone should own at least one gun for every year of their life.

The number of guns over my age just insures that-much of a longer life.

Would you rather listen to me or some greedy lying doctor?

84Bravo1- I spent 1,800 on new guns and reaped 5,000 in sales of old guns. That doesn't make 3,200 profit. I had about 3,000 invested in the guns I sold making a 2,000 profit.
