Not my Usual Post
I have the best friends. I've got another little boy squirrel to raise. His name is Sailor, Sailor Squirrel.
Mothers milk is better than formula, so I asked Crybaby to share a teat.
She didn't mind a bit and even cleans him. The nursery is in the spare bathroom so Boy KeeKee (the cat) sits on the side of the tub watching. He doesn't bother anyone. He thinks he's a dog with super powers. He can jump up on the washer where his food bowl is and the dogs can't. He comes when I call his name and WILL NOT go outside on a dare.
Anyway, Sailor has good arms and legs, his eyes are still closed, but he climbs all over his little cage. I don't let him stay in the tub with Crybaby because he's so small. Her puppies weigh twice as much as he does.

How CUTE!!! We have had a few baby squirrel encounters here. My Pomeranian found one out back one day in the grass and Jimmy tried to keep it, but it passed away after a few weeks. My St Bernard has found two in the front yard, both times she just had them in her mouth....but didn't hurt them. Watching the mom come down and inspect the slobber covered babies was fun to see. 0 -
